PDR Requirements

Professional Development Requirements, PDR, is a requirement of PGA Members. The current cycle is Cycle 17: June 16, 2022 – June 15, 2025. Credit requirements consist of two categories: (a) 54 Total Credits, (b) 30 PGA Required Credits which must be from Education and/or Player Development, and (c) 6 PGA Required Credits with must be from Meetings and/or National Survey. Workday ACH Account

As a member, you will need to enroll with the NCPGA to receive ACH payments and to eliminate the hassle of going to the bank to deposit your check! Two tasks must be completed for enrollment:

  1. Completed your Workday ACH Account
  2. Email NCPGA Team to let us know your account has bee created

Electronic payments will take approximately one (1) week after your ACH enrollment to process. For all future payment please allow two (2) weeks to process in the system before you receive payment.

NCPGA Board of Directors Elections

  • Eligibility: You must be a PGA Class A Member, Life Member Active/Life Member Master Active (LMA/LMMA), or Past President (any classification) of the Northern California, and be in good standing in order to be eligible to vote. Validation of voter eligibility will take place prior to compiling the election results. Class F, Inactive, Life Member Retired/Life Member Master Retired (LM, LMM & RM), and Class B Apprentices do not carry the right to vote.

PDR & PDR Opportunities

If you have completed an activity that is approved by the PGA of America to apply towards your Professional Development Requirement, please download and print an PDR request form and return to Jenna Andersen jandersen@pgahq.com at the NCPGA Office for processing. Once the PDR has been met in the “required” category, any overage of credits automatically rolls over to the “general/total” category.

The PGA of America provides the user-friendly PGA Employment Center which can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by any PGA Professional or Associate and can be updated by the employer at any time.

PGA Compensation Survey

As part of the PGA of America’s commitment to provide enhanced services to PGA Professionals, the annual PGA Compensation Survey helps provide key compensation data to assist with performance evaluations, contract renewals, staff budgeting and other employer/employee relations; thus allowing PGA Professionals and their employers to know where they stand on the compensation scale in comparison with other Professionals.

Survey responses are confidential and shared in an aggregated format via customized reports that can be filtered by

  • Total income or base salary
  • Average, median, and top percentiles
  • PGA Section or state
  • Job title, facility type, fee structure, number of holes, or job tenure

Class A PGA Professionals may earn PDR credits per cycle by completing the compensation survey, which are automatically applied upon its completion along with a summary of your responses available for your records.
