Diablo Country Club, April 21, 2025 – The Spring weather was in full bloom at Diablo Country Club for our 2025 Pro Scotch Championship at Diablo Country Club on Monday, April 21, 2025. Charlie Gibson, PGA (Cypress Ridge Golf Club) and Jason Schmuhl, PGA (Windsor Golf Club) reigned supreme over a packed field of 80 players representing all 6 chapters of the NCPGA.
Gibson and Schmuhl carded an impressive 9-under 63 to win by 2 shots. 10 teams participated in the horse race on holes 16, 17, & 18 upon conclusion of the round. Lance Johnson, PGA (Swenson Park) and David Putney, PGA (Empire Ranch) defeated Andrew Larkin, PGA (Santa Clara University) and Gregor Main, PGA (NorCal Golf Academy) in a chip-off on 18 green after both teams holed out eagle putts to end the horse race.
