Johnson Wins 2025 NCPGA Professional Championship at Bayonet/Blackhorse in Sudden-Death Playoff

Congratulations to PGA Professional Tom Johnson of The Meadow Club, who captured the 2025 NCPGA Section Professional Championship at Bayonet/Black Horse in dramatic fashion. Johnson battled challenging course conditions over 36 holes, carding rounds of 69-70 = 139, and then sealed the title with a sudden-death playoff victory over Jason Owen of Cal State Monterey Bay (65-74 = 139).

Johnson finished in the Top 20 of the 2025 PGA Professional Championship which qualified him for the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow. As a result of the Top 20 finish in 2025, he secured an exemption into the 2026 PGA Professional Championship, to be played April 26–29 at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Oregon.

Congratulations and best of luck to Tom and the rest of our NCPGA Professionals that qualified to represent the NCPGA on the national stage!
