Williams Successfully Defends Title at the 2025 NCPGA Assistant Professional Championship

Chico, CA –Ryan Williams, PGA from Woodbridge Golf & Country Club, successfully defended his title at the 2025 Northern California PGA Assistant Professional Championship. Demonstrating both skill and perseverance, Williams captured back-to-back victories in this prestigious event during a day with temperatures over 100 degrees.

Hosted at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico, CA, the championship featured a competitive field of 42 NCPGA Associate Professionals. Williams posted rounds of 71–68 for a 36-hole total of 139, securing the win by two strokes over Steve Watanabe, PGA from The Bridges Golf Club.

The victory not only solidifies Williams’ status as one of the Section’s rising stars but also underscores his consistency and competitive edge among Northern California’s best Assistant Professionals.

Josh Wiegandt, PGA (Schaffer’s Mill Club) , Jared Stone, PGA (Silverado Resort) , & Kaz Hoffman (Richmond Golf Club) qualified for the 2025 National Assistant Professional Championship to be played at PGA Golf Club from November 13 – 16, 2025 in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
