Dugger Claims Victory in a Sudden-Death Playoff over Bertrand in the 2026 NCPGA Assistant Professional Championship
Luke Dugger, Assistant Professional from De Paso Country Club, captured the 2026 Northern California PGA Assistant Professional Championship this past Monday defeating Blake Bertrand (Sunday Swing Golf) on the 1st hole of a sudden-death playoff. Luke shot rounds of 70-64 = 134 10 under par to take home the title. Luke’s 36-Hole round consisted of 13 birdies, 20 pars and 3 bogeys. Well done, Luke!
Hosted by El Macero Country Club in Davis, CA, the 36-hole championship featured a competitive field of 67 NCPGA Assistant Associate Professionals.
This victory not only solidifies Dugger’s status as one of the Section’s rising stars but also underscores his consistency and competitive edge among Northern California’s best Assistant Professionals.
