It’s #MeetTheTeamMonday!

Here is Suzy Schneider our Programs Coordinator for the NCPGA and NCPGA Foundation.
Suzy’s favorite course in our Section is Silverado Resort and her dream foursome is her dad, Nancy Lopez, and Arnold Palmer (because they are all straight down the middle players !). Her fav sports team in the Bay Area is the Oakland A’s ⚾️ and her favorite club in her bag is her well worn Coronado Two Scotty Cameron putter.
Her favorite food is Mexican...tacos, enchiladas, chile rellenos, chips, salsa 🌮🌯 Fun fact about her and her husband Brian is that they were junior members at Richmond CC and won Mr. & Mrs. Club Championship in 1984 where they met a young Tom Zahradka before he was even PGA. ⛳️ We are lucky to have you, Suzy!

It’s #MeetTheTeamMonday!
Here is John Brownwood who leads Member Services/Player Development for the NCPGA. Johns favorite course in our Section is Edgewood Tahoe and his favorite club is the trusty 5 iron. His dream foursome would be his dad, Arnold Palmer, and Tony Finau (he thinks Tony and him would be BFFs). His favorite golf memory is playing Spyglass Hill GC with Drew Brees during a practice round before the AT&T ProAm.
His favorite sports team is the LA Rams 🏈 & favorite food is anything he didn’t have to make himself (specifically Mexican food 🌮). We are lucky to have you, John!

Recent events surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak have thrust us into extraordinary times with many more questions and concerns than answers. As we collectively make our way through the matters at hand, the health and safety of our Section Membership, Staff, Allied Associations, Partners and Customers is paramount. This unchartered territory has lead our decision process to only one end, what are we able to do to protect the health and welfare of all of those we affect here in Northern California.

The current situation is more than an inconvenience, it is a new landscape requiring our understanding and unity.

In full respect of all precautions possible, and certainly President Trump’s declaration of a National State of Emergency, as well as our National and local health officials, and the recommendation of our PGA of America leadership, at this time we shall suspend all Section, Chapter and Division events that are scheduled within the next four weeks through April 10, 2020. Diligent effort will be made to reschedule as possible, given this ever-changing situation.

Due to event cancellations across the Country, the PGA of America Board of Directors has approved a one year extension to the end of the current MSR cycle. The cycle now ends on June 15, 2022.

At this time, there is no change to the status of the PGA Championship to be held at Harding Park, May 11 -17, 2020. Weekly updates with respect to any and all news and further developments shall be sent, daily when necessary.

Our dedicated NCPGA Staff will be working remotely and on site at our Section office, we therefore do not anticipate any great disruption of service and timeliness in response.

On behalf of your Board of Director Officer’s and NCPGA Staff, thank you in advance for your understanding and of course please contact us with any questions and concerns.
